What would lure you out for an early dinner on a summer night in Palm Springs, California? The answer is the chance to enjoy the special dinner menu being served at historic Le Vallauris Restaurant — an intimate getaway — at 385 W. Tahquitz Canyon Way. From June 1st through July 4th. For a very affordable $46 (fixed price, plus tax and gratuities), you can enjoy one of the best and most beautiful French restaurants in the Coachella Valley.
Chef Jean-Paul Lair has designed an extraordinary end of season menu to be enjoyed in our restaurant’s welcoming countryside ambience. You will be perfectly comfortable whether you choose to dine indoors in the regal dining room reminiscent of castles, or on the air-conditioned outdoor patio where mature ficus trees twinkle with lights overhead. You will be warmly greeted in the European manner and treated to impeccable service.
You’ll begin your magical evening in the desert by enjoying your choice of a trio of chilled soups; prosciutto di Parma with shiny Beluga lentils; a specialty Caesar salad wrapped in smoked salmon; a soufflé of Swiss Gruyere and French Comte on a bed of dressed lettuce; or fried shrimp wrapped in shredded pastry with ginger dressing.
Entrée choices, each perfect for a summer night, include a roasted breast of duck stuffed with large, succulent Medjool dates, drizzled with a light orange reduction and served with spinach and crispy potatoes, or a grilled lamb loin complete with a mustard crust and served with a stuffed tomato and garlic mashed potatoes. Prefer fish? There is grilled Ahi tuna accompanied by grilled tomatoes and zucchini with an herb dressing. A medley of vegetarian raviolis with herbed olive oil and buffalo mozzarella completes the exceptional and varied choices.
Summery desserts provide the perfect ending to a wonderful meal. You can choose from an apple tart with crème brulee, a fresh strawberry meringue served with vanilla ice cream, or a Limoncello soufflé with crème Anglaise.
Drinks are, of course, additional, but a choice of wine from LeVallauris’ wine list only adds to the pleasure of the evening. Wine choices are extraordinary and extensive. They represent the best wine-producing regions and countries. Some wines are also available by the glass.
End up your season in Palm Springs with a feast at historic Le Vallauris.
